SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it can be alarmed with regard to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The provider position designed for intervention activities a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky read more for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and maximize usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
